A ‘titanic’ auction took place in New York in which a single
bidder made a bid for more than 5,000 artefacts from the wreckage of the
Titanic. The lot included a diverse range of items which were being sold as a
complete collection. Some of the items included in the lot were some
binoculars, jewellery, tableware and of course a silver pocket watch.
